Prospective Teachers’ Intercultural Sensitivity as the Effort to Actualize the Multicultural Education

In response to the cultural diversity in Indonesia, multicultural education is required provide students with a proper level of intercultural sensitivity. However, prepare for an ideal future generations, teachers must undoubtedly master sensitivity, even since they are still studying university, as prospective teachers. Therefore, this study aimed quantitatively investigate sensitivity at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang and IAIN Curup. As result, portrait teachers’ could be used references developing their characters educators. The respondents were 1,000 800 data garnered using structured questionnaire obtain accurate percentages then analyzed descriptive statistics. findings revealed that two universities had high research’s limitations, implications, recommendations provided following discussion conclusion. AbstrakMenanggapi keberagaman budaya di pendidikan multikultural diperlukan untuk syarat dalam mempersiapkan siswa dengan kepekaan antarbudaya yang tepat. Dalam hal ini pendidik harus bagi generasi mendatang, guru tentunya menguasai antarbudaya, bahkan sejak mereka masih kuliah, sebagai calon guru. Oleh karena itu, penelitian bertujuan mengetahui secara kuantitatif tentang terhadap dan Hasilnya, potret bisa dijadikan acuan mengembangkan karakter multikultural. Partisipan adalah 1000 Data dikumpulkan mengunakan kuisioner terstruktur guna mendapatkan hasil akurat dari tingkat sensitivitas tersebut kemudian analisis statistik deskriptif.Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa kedua universitas mempunyai tinggi antarbudaya. Keterbatasan, implikasi rekomendasi disajikan setelah pembahasan kesimpulan data.
